Biography

I joined the University of Essex as a lecturer in French in September 2015. Prior to this, I was a lecturer in French at Wollongong University in Australia for four years. I studied for my PhD in French literature at Durham University, where I also taught French and English as a Foreign Language for over a decade. I studied English literature and culture for my B.A. and M.A., as well as semiology for my second M.A. at the Université de Limoges in France. I am interested in the use of new technologies in learning and teaching languages as well as issues of gender and power in French culture.
